Terms of Service

Filmmakersnearme ("we," "us," or "the platform") is an online directory that helps people discover local filmmakers and helps filmmakers present their work to potential clients. We are a listing and connection service, not a production company, agency, or employer.

By creating an account, signing in, browsing listings, saving favorites, subscribing to our newsletter, or listing your filmmaker profile, you agree to these Terms of Service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use Filmmakersnearme.

When you sign up, you may identify as someone hunting a filmmaker (client) or as someone joining as a filmmaker. You are responsible for choosing the account type that matches how you intend to use the site. Features such as the filmmaker dashboard and business listing tools are intended for filmmaker accounts.

You may register with email and password or sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information in your profile and, if you list a business, in your filmmaker listing. We may suspend or remove accounts that are fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or violate these terms.

Filmmakers control the content they publish (descriptions, portfolio links, contact details, service areas, and similar information). We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, quality, or legality of any listing or any work performed by a filmmaker you contact through the platform.

Clients use Filmmakersnearme to discover and compare filmmakers. When you reach out, you do so using the contact details a filmmaker chooses to display (such as email, phone, or website links). We do not broker bookings or payments. Contracts, pricing, schedules, deliverables, and payment are arranged directly between you and the filmmaker.

You agree not to:

• Post false, defamatory, infringing, or unlawful content
• Harass, spam, or scrape the platform without permission
• Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
• Use the site for unrelated commercial solicitation or automated bulk messaging
• Misrepresent your identity, services, or location

Filmmakersnearme's name, branding, and site design are ours or our licensors'. You retain rights to content you submit, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, store, and promote that content on the platform and in related marketing (for example, featuring listings in search results or emails).

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you consent to receive emails from us until you unsubscribe. Marketing emails are separate from occasional service-related messages (for example, account or listing updates).

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Filmmakersnearme and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform or any dealings with other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars, if you have not paid us for the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service.
